about

Honeybees play a critical role in the pollination of one-third of all crops. Colony Collapse Disorder is a phenomenon plaguing honeybees. The bees leave their hive and for an unknown reason, do not return. With the disappearance of honeybees, a chain reaction could occur: less bees, less pollination, less crops, less livestock, less food supply for humans, and finally less humans.

It is rumored that Einstein said, "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would only have four years left of life. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man."

Emily Adamo, the creator of of Bee Happy Honey, had big hopes to change the world.
She still does.

In 2007, Emily viewed two television programs (Nature: Silence of the Bees and 60 Minutes) about Colony Collapse Disorder. In an inspired moment, she declared, "I'm going to make a t-shirt to save the bees."

She designed the Bee Happy Honey logo and drew the artwork for the t-shirts and mugs.
We have been enjoying her products ever since.

Emily hopes to attend art school, and use her gift to make the world a better place. She has studied at Parsons School of Design, The Rhode Island School of Design and is a student at the Mill Street Loft.

Her favorite quote is one that she heard and will carry with her for the rest of her life: "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to sing in the rain."

She is helped in her efforts by her mother, a librarian and children's book author.
